Refunds

Last set down 2 October 2026

The rule is simple: if the chapter did not happen, you get your money back. If it happened and you did not enjoy it, that is a risk we asked you to take, and we keep the coin.

We refund in full when

We do not need you to argue for it. Every chapter leaves a record of how many turns it actually played, how long it ran and how often the Keeper failed, and that record outlives the table, so we can see for ourselves whether a chapter happened whether you write to us that evening or a fortnight later. It holds none of your story: only the numbers.

We do not refund when

Somewhere in between

An evening that went half-wrong is judged case by case, and we would rather be generous than right. Write to us and tell us what happened.

Sometimes the fairest answer is not the money back but the chapter back. If we think your table should have stood, we will write to you with a fresh code and the story where you left it. That one needs you to ask from the table, using the line below: asking there sets your chapter aside, and it is the set-aside copy we hand back. Write to us by email instead and the table will already have been released, so the most we can do is refund you.

Asking from the table itself

At the foot of a chapter you have paid for there is a line reading Something wrong with this chapter? It is the quickest way to reach us, and the one we would rather you used.

Read it carefully before you press it: asking ends the chapter there and then. Your table closes, the code stops working, and you cannot come back to it. That is deliberate, and it is what lets us give you the chapter back if we decide it should have stood, so nothing of it is lost while we look.

We keep the whole chapter until the request is settled, and then we let it go. Whether we may read it to judge your request is a tick you make yourself, and it starts unticked: the turns your table played and how long it ran are enough to answer most of it.

How to ask

Write to hello@oks.design within 14 days of buying, with your table code and a sentence about what went wrong. You can also ask Paddle directly, since they are the seller on your receipt. We aim to answer within three working days.

Refunds are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited and go back to the card you paid with, usually within five to ten working days depending on your bank.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK

You normally have 14 days to change your mind about something bought online. A chapter is digital content delivered immediately, so the terms of play you agree to when you take a table say that the chapter begins at once and that, once it has begun, the 14-day right to withdraw no longer applies.

If you bought a chapter and have not started playing it, that right is untouched: write to us within 14 days and we will refund you, no reason needed.

Free tables

Tables in the You keep the tale hall cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund. They are offered as they are.
